“External collaboration is one of the key ways we deliver crop-focused solutions to our customers. Our future success will depend on our ability to maximize new technologies, and discover and develop innovative value-added products for agriculture. Open Innovation means different things to different people. What it means to me is being open to any form of problem solving or offer of technology across the divisions within Syngenta as well as outside the company. Not all smart individuals or companies currently work for, or collaborate with, Syngenta. You don’t know what you don’t know, so it’s a matter of being open to different insights from adjacent areas.” – Joseph Byrum
